CRUNCHES ARE OLD NEWS

Many physical therapists, personal trainers, and physiotherapists recommend that crunches be limited when it comes to building ab strength for the reason that crunches don't activate the muscles that help with posture, and the isometric holds used, such as the plank activate larger muscle groups.

Having a strong core is beneficial to also bail you out when you hit a heavy squat. Maintaining a tight core is essential to safe and effective lifting.

We have put together a video detailing this information and providing you with five alternative exercises including pikes on stability balls, and hanging leg raises. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Thank you for visiting and as always...TRAIN HARD Y'ALL!
